National Geographic recently ranked Wrightsville Beach as one of the top 20 beach towns in the world. Now that’s something worth fighting for. The article mentions some of the very resources the federation works very hard to protect, like “salt marshes [and] sandy barrier islands” and let’s not forget the efforts to preserve public access to our beaches and high water quality to make sure they are swimmable.
Just goes to show that our coastal resources truly are the envy of the world.
